I Can't Believe It

So, I actually made it to the final round in the ScrapOrchard design contest. I never expected to make it so far. When I entered, my goal was to make it to round 2. This week, we had to create a whole kit, whatever theme and colors we wanted. Luckily, the deadline was extended from Wednesday night to Friday night - I sure did need the extra time. After struggling last week with the theme, I felt so much more comfortable this week with the kit I made. I did a boyish kit (of course - that's my comfort zone) inspired by my boys playing in our backyard and those maple seeds (we always called 'em helicopters) that are all over the place right now. I hope you all enjoy it.

As alway, be sure to check out the Scrap Orchard week 4 contest gallery to see and download all the other fabulous submissions, and more will be coming throughout the day today. I understand that the links will be taken down after Saturday. Many designers will still have their submissions up on their blogs after that time, but your best bet is to swing by there tomorrow sometime. My links will be active here for awhile.

The download is split into 2 parts.

PLEASE don't share this link or upload my kit to any filesharing sites. Just send people to my blog to download. And if you use this in a layout, I'd love to take a peek! And thank you so much for your comments - I love reading them!

Week 3

Wow, I actually made it to round 3! This one has been very challenging for me. We were given a color palette and the theme "Love In Paris". I loved the colors, but had a very difficult time marrying the colors with the theme. Add in a ton of stress at home this week, and, well, I barely got this one finished in time. I had other ideas that I just didn't have time to finish. Anyway, here it is. Be sure to check out the Scrap Orchard week 3 contest gallery to see and download all the other fabulous submissions. There are so many great kits this week!

And, thank you to the wonderful ladies who have sent me links to their layouts! I'm sorry I haven't responded personally yet, but I will. It really does make my day to know that people are actually using my kits.

Another New Mini Kit

Wow, I can't believe that I made it to round 2 of Scrap Orchard's So You Think You Can Design contest! This week's assignment was to make a mini kit, using any theme and color palette that we wanted. So, I did a boy kit, of course. I posted my download links below, but I urge to check out the Scrap Orchard week 2 contest gallery to see and download all the other fabulous submissions. I hope you all like this one.

New Mini Kit

Hi again (is anyone still out there?). WOW! I can't believe how many people downloaded my papers, and left such sweet comments. Thank you all so much. I hope that you liked them. I've been working on some elements to coordinate with the papers, but I got a bit sidetracked.

Now, I'm not usually a contest girl, especially when I don't think I have a good chance of winning, but I actually decided to participate in a designing contest. The gals at Scrap Orchard are having a "So You Think You Can Design" challenge. The first assignment was to design a mini kit using one of the supplied color palettes. Yup, we actually got to choose one of four palettes - I liked having that choice, and I really loved the colors in the palette I chose, because they seemed like such happy colors. So, Happiness Is... was born. Now, the assignment was given Saturday, and mini kits were due today, so that didn't give this slooooowwwwww wannabe designer very much time, lol! I might just have to make an addon. I posted my download links below, but I urge to check out the Scrap Orchard contest gallery to see and download all the other fabulous submissions. I hope you all like this one.

I also want to give Megan a big thank you for sending me the link to a layout she did using my Easter Parade kit. It's so exciting to see my kits in action!
