I just uploaded my first kit into the store. Summer treats is a fun and whimsical summer kit full of refreshing summer treats, like popsicles, ice cream, snowcones, and lemonade. Another Freebie

Just a quick post to load my latest freebie. It's got a bit more of a vintage floral feel than what I usually do. This is for KimB's DSO Color Challenge. I hope y'all like it. Oh, and I should mention that I fizzled out on the patriotic kit I mentioned in my last post. I'll either resurrect it later or do a stars and stripes kit with other colors.

Anyway, here is Vintage Romance.

Finally Finished

I finally finished my kit for KimB's color challenge at DSO. My mojo went missing this month, so this one took awhile. It's kind of a Father's Day kit, but since it's after Father's Day, you could just use it as a generic boy kit. I have some ideas for a patriotic kit, but there's no way I'll have it done by the 4th. But it will be general enough that you could use it for everyday scrapping.

All my previous blog freebies are still active, so feel free to scroll down and pick up anything you might have missed.

Forgot About the Elements

I just realized that I never uploaded the elements I made that coordinate with Digitreats' RunABC kit. I got a bit distracted with the design contest and forgot all about them. Nope, I didn't win, but I didn't expect to. It was a great experience, I learned a lot and pushed myself to try new things, so I'm very glad I participated. I feel so honored to have made it to the final round with so many talented and established designers.

I just started on a little kit for KimB's color challenge at DSO. The colors will make a great boy kit. Hopefully, I'll finish before the end of the month. I've been scrapping a lot the past week also.

I Can't Believe It

So, I actually made it to the final round in the ScrapOrchard design contest. I never expected to make it so far. When I entered, my goal was to make it to round 2. This week, we had to create a whole kit, whatever theme and colors we wanted. Luckily, the deadline was extended from Wednesday night to Friday night - I sure did need the extra time. After struggling last week with the theme, I felt so much more comfortable this week with the kit I made. I did a boyish kit (of course - that's my comfort zone) inspired by my boys playing in our backyard and those maple seeds (we always called 'em helicopters) that are all over the place right now. I hope you all enjoy it.

As alway, be sure to check out the Scrap Orchard week 4 contest gallery to see and download all the other fabulous submissions, and more will be coming throughout the day today. I understand that the links will be taken down after Saturday. Many designers will still have their submissions up on their blogs after that time, but your best bet is to swing by there tomorrow sometime. My links will be active here for awhile.

The download is split into 2 parts.

Week 3

Wow, I actually made it to round 3! This one has been very challenging for me. We were given a color palette and the theme "Love In Paris". I loved the colors, but had a very difficult time marrying the colors with the theme. Add in a ton of stress at home this week, and, well, I barely got this one finished in time. I had other ideas that I just didn't have time to finish. Anyway, here it is. Be sure to check out the Scrap Orchard week 3 contest gallery to see and download all the other fabulous submissions. There are so many great kits this week!

And, thank you to the wonderful ladies who have sent me links to their layouts! I'm sorry I haven't responded personally yet, but I will. It really does make my day to know that people are actually using my kits.

Another New Mini Kit

Wow, I can't believe that I made it to round 2 of Scrap Orchard's So You Think You Can Design contest! This week's assignment was to make a mini kit, using any theme and color palette that we wanted. So, I did a boy kit, of course. I posted my download links below, but I urge to check out the Scrap Orchard week 2 contest gallery to see and download all the other fabulous submissions. I hope you all like this one.

New Mini Kit

Hi again (is anyone still out there?). WOW! I can't believe how many people downloaded my papers, and left such sweet comments. Thank you all so much. I hope that you liked them. I've been working on some elements to coordinate with the papers, but I got a bit sidetracked.

Now, I'm not usually a contest girl, especially when I don't think I have a good chance of winning, but I actually decided to participate in a designing contest. The gals at Scrap Orchard are having a "So You Think You Can Design" challenge. The first assignment was to design a mini kit using one of the supplied color palettes. Yup, we actually got to choose one of four palettes - I liked having that choice, and I really loved the colors in the palette I chose, because they seemed like such happy colors. So, Happiness Is... was born. Now, the assignment was given Saturday, and mini kits were due today, so that didn't give this slooooowwwwww wannabe designer very much time, lol! I might just have to make an addon. I posted my download links below, but I urge to check out the Scrap Orchard contest gallery to see and download all the other fabulous submissions. I hope you all like this one.

I also want to give Megan a big thank you for sending me the link to a layout she did using my Easter Parade kit. It's so exciting to see my kits in action!

Some Papers for You

Hi again. Wow, I don't update this blog very often, do I? It looks like about every 2 weeks. I have some papers for you today. I have some ideas for elements, so they'll probably be ready in a couple weeks. These coordinate with Digitreats RunABC Kit. You should check her blog, because she has the RunABC and two other kits that she's adding onto periodically.

Now, these papers are a bit experimental - they don't necessarily all go together very well style-wise, though they do color-wise. I was experimenting. Please, pretty please, let me know which ones you like and/or which ones you don't. I know I have my favorites, but I want to see what you all think. Hopefully, you can use some of them.

You can download the papers here.

Thank You and Another Freebie

Wow!! I'm amazed at how many people downloaded Egg Parade. And all the sweet comments here and on 4-shared - y'all know how to make a girl smile. I know it's been a little while since I posted. I guess I should just 'fess up now and admit that I will probably just be an occasional blogger, since I don't like to write. So, why would a gal who hates to write want to start a blog, LOL??? Well...I scrapped with freebies for a very long time when I first started digiscrapping. I was always so grateful to those who shared their designs, and I really wanted to be able to share stuff, too. And, I'm having a blast learning more about PSP and how to design things (that's my engineering side).

So, I'm working on something bright and boyish, but I'm nowhere near being done. I'm a slow scrapper, and also apparently very slow at designing, too. I do have another kit to share right now that I did for the January DSO Color Challenge. It was up in the forums there, but I thought I'd post it here if anyone who didn't pick it up there would like it. It's not my usual style, but it's fun trying out different styles and seeing what I can do. Plus, I just really wanted to put that truffle into a kit, lol!

You can download it here.

PLEASE don't share this link or upload my kit to any filesharing sites. Just send people to my blog to download. And if you use this in a layout, I'd love to take a peek!

Welcome to my Blog and a Freebie

Welcome to my new blog! I'm completely new at blogging, so things are very simple around here now. Eventually, I'll get around to making a nice blog header, but this will work for now. I've been digital scrapbooking for almost 2 years and have recently started dabbling in design a little, mostly for challenges. So, this blog will be where I can share some of my design efforts. I'm NOT an established designer and really not looking to be one. I think trying to sell would suck the fun out of it for me. I use mainly PSP9, but I got PSE5 with my Bamboo Fun tablet for Christmas, so I'm using that a little to run actions and do brushwork. The interface confuses me, though, so I can't see leaving my trusty PSP any time soon.

The first freebie I'll post here is my contribution for the DSO March Color Challenge. I really liked the color palette, and thought it would be perfect for an Easter kit suitable for scrapping boys (since I have 2 of them). Most of the Easter kits out there are so girly, though I have seen a couple nice ones for boys.

So, here is the preview for Egg Parade. Remember, I'm just dabbling, so be gentle, LOL! If you download this and actually use it, I'd love to see your layout.
